PUPPY ALERT! PUPPY ALERT! OK everyone, try to stay calm: little Abercrombie is available!
This young fellow has been with us for a few months recovering from a cyst in his eye, and the lucky person who adopts him will have to monitor it to make sure it doesn’t reoccur. I don’t know about you, but gazing into puppy eyes doesn’t seem like a hardship!
At this point, Abercrombie will need someone at home for potty training, basic obedience, and to work on his separation anxiety. He is also on a special diet, and takes probiotic supplements. Otherwise, he is a classic puppy, with all the energy and mischief involved. As he matures, he may become a good office dog--but that will be up to you and him.
Abercrombie loves playing fetch and chewing chew toys. He gets excited around kids, so a home with dog-savvy, older children is best. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but because of his age, they should be around his size.
His lucky foster family has had the pleasure to host this little guy, and the more we hear about him, the more jealous we get! Here’s what his foster mom tells us, “Abercrombie is the sweetest boy. He’s been such a great distraction from the craziness in the world right now. He also has kept me on my toes being the typical puppy. I’m hoping he finds the perfect home who will give him the guidance to become the perfect dog, although he’s pretty close already.”
If you think Abercrombie is the perfect addition to your family and you’re willing to put in the time and effort that a puppy requires, please apply for him today. Tell us why you’re the perfect match and get ready to travel! FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Abercrombie is an active puppy and potty training and obedience training are a work in progress. He may have some separation anxiety which will require additional training.
Abercrombie had blepharoplasty on 06.24.2020 to remove a dermoid cyst from his left eye and must be monitored by a veterinarian for recurrence.
