Sweet Bentley is ready to find his forever home. If Bentley looks familiar, that's because a family adopted Bentley from FBRN 10 years ago. As circumstances changed they had a child and a newborn. This new environment was not the right fit for Bentley, so the family contacted FBRN to help find him a new home that does not have young children.
In terms of health, Bentley is very healthy for his age. He does have some urinary incontinence that is controlled by daily medication.
Bentley is a great guy who enjoys the simple things in life, like a nice walk through the neighborhood or a good game of tug of war. He is a very smart boy who puts himself in the crate after breakfast when he knows his favorite person is about to be off to work. He is also a very loving and considerate companion. He loves to snuggle and be next to his favorite person and really loves it if you pet him.
The perfect home for Bentley would be a just adults household, especially if one is home during the day. Bentley's previous home had another dog and he was great with the other dog, so if there is another dog in the home, that would be fine. If there are kids in the home, they need to be older and dog savvy. Since we think Bentley is not 100% Frenchie, first time Frenchie owners are fine. Bentley can live in either an apartment or a house. Bentley's foster home has a yard, but he mostly just hangs out indoors and goes for walks to do his business. He is smart so he would probably do fine going to work with his favorite person. It would be wonderful if he could have someone home all day with him.
Bentley's foster dad has this to share about him: "Bentley has been the sweetest guy I have had the opportunity to spend time with. He has an amazing demeanor and really only wants to love you and be loved which is what makes the family that chooses to adopt him very special. He will bring warmth and a smile to everyone in the house."
If you would like to adopt Bentley, pack your bags for a nice road trip. Bentley is being fostered in NC and will not be shipped. He is also too large to fly in cabin so his adopter will need to drive him home.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Bentley takes a daily medication to control his urinary incontinence.
