Bubby has severe skin allergies and must remain on daily Apoquel, as well as his current Farmina diet. He also requires regular ear cleanings to prevent infection.
Creamy, delightful, and sweeter than a Cadbury egg…that just about sums it up for this handsome boy who is in need of a forever home! Bubby was surrendered to FBRN when his family was expecting another baby. His surrendering family reported that after his other Frenchie sibling left the house he started marking. With a new baby on the way, they thought it would be best for Bubby to be placed with a family who could work with him on this behavioral issue. Bubby wants everyone to know that he has been a very good boy while in foster care. He only marked once!
Bubby has several allergies and must remain on daily Apoquel. His adopting family must also be willing to continue with his Farmina diet. Regular ear cleanings should also be part of the routine to keep this handsome boy looking and feeling his best.
Since Bubby lived with a 2-year-old child in his previous home, we think a home with younger children who are dog-savvy would be just fine. Bubby gets along very well with the two resident Frenchies in his foster home and is friendly to other dogs when being walked on leash. A forever home with canine companions would be A-OK! Since Bubby has not been exposed to cats while in foster care, we must consider the safety of our feline friends and say no to homes with cats.
Bubby is very well-mannered and obedient. He’s a happy boy who loves interacting with his Frenchie foster siblings. He has shown no signs of any temperament issues. Bubby happily eats alongside his fur-siblings without issue and shares toys with no problem. Bubby is housebroken and crate-trained. He also knows a few basic commands and will respond to a hand clap if he’s starting to get into something he shouldn’t.
Bubby enjoys all the typical Frenchie activities! Napping on the couch, napping in foster mom’s lap, chewing on his toys, and most of all, frolicking, chasing and wrestling with his Frenchie fur-siblings! Bubby also enjoys walks and is used to the sights and sounds of the big city.
As long as he has devoted people, Bubby would do well in any type of home. We think he would really thrive in a home with a fur-sibling, but frequent interactions with canine pals would also work. He currently has a fenced-in yard and really seems to enjoy it, but a family who was committed to frequent neighborhood walks and play dates would also be great.
While Bubby is crate-trained, he hasn’t been crated while in foster care. He is never left alone for more than 2-3 hours at a time. Potential adopters who have the luxury of working from home or popping in for a lunch break every day would be ideal. Bubby would also do fine with a pet sitter or dog walker who could give him a midday break. If you are one of the lucky humans who can take your dog to work, you’ve just struck gold, because Bubby would be an amazing office companion!
Here are a few words from his adoring foster mom: “Bubby is going to make any family a great and loving companion. He is very easygoing, minds well and adjusted immediately to my home. He is very affectionate and loves to sit in my lap. Other than very minor maintenance to his ears, he has no issues.”
If Bubby sounds like the perfect companion for your family, please submit an application today! Until his perfect match is found, he will be enjoying life in the big city with his foster family. If you are the lucky duck chosen to adopt this hunk, be prepared to journey to New York and road trip your way home. At 22 pounds, Bubby is too big to fly.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
Bubby, our furry family hopes this will help you on your way to your forever home XoX Angelina, John and Charlie (*woof*)
