"He's the softest little snuggler and has this quirk where he sits up against walls, legs, chairs, trash cans, whatever he can, just to have his back up to something.
He pirouettes around when he gets excited about breakfast and dinner. He's always able to put a smile on your face, whether it's from his dutiful jaunt around the backyard trying to secure the perimeter or the way he stealthily sneaks out of his bed to try to lay with us. His peepers may be a little wonky, but when he looks at you, the love behind them is clear to anyone."

ABOUT BUSCEMI:
Buscemi has several allergies and must remain on current raw diet, and supplements, Omega-3 Pet supplements and have regular medicated baths. He is allergic to feathers and must avoid feather pillows and down blankets.

Hang onto your hats! The newest mischief maker is in town. Buscemi was surrendered to FBRN when his previously family was overwhelmed by the both their young children and Buscemi and his high energy.

Buscemi is quite a dapper gentleman with his brindle look and a white blaze on his chest. He has a bad boy personality and likes to make trouble for attention. He is most active during the day, but when night comes he's more than happy to wind down and fall asleep or watch tv with his people. When it comes to his favorite things, he has one that is taboo. You see, Buscemi loves to hump dog beds. He also fancies chewing on bully horns, running in the back yard, and playing with other dogs.

He doesn't have many health concerns, just his allergies. These require him to be on a raw diet because storage mites are found in almost all dry foods. He doesn't have any medications, just his supplements that keep him looking handsome, sleek, and feeling great.

Buscemi likes older children and other dogs. Once he becomes acquainted with them he does great. If he happens to see one on the street, he will bark and pull on his leash, so he's not a good choice for children to walk as a chore. He is housebroken, but will not tell you when he needs to go out. For this reason he should be on an established schedule. If you forget to pay attention to him, you might find that he has marked on your door or your favorite handbag. He is crate trained, but he will fuss if he has to go in when all the humans are out and about in the house. When it comes to bed time, he has no problem settling right in.

Buscemi hopes that he will find a patient forever family. One that will provide proper exercise and take the time to correct the things he might do wrong. He needs his forever home to understand that sometimes he might make some mischief or potty in the house. A home that could entertain his wild side every once in a while would be best (tell us about your experience with mad dogs in the application). Buscemi would do best in a home with a back yard. With the right person he could make a condo work, but he does love to see what is going on in the neighborhood and his foster mom wouldn't put it past this nosy Nellie to take the blinds down so he could see what was making noise outside. He will bark but over time, will settle in once he knows the noises of the neighborhood.

Ideally a human that would be able to work at home or family that had people home most of the time would be best for Buscemi. He could make it work if you were willing to come home and have lunch with him, and let him out for a small romp in the backyard. With his wild side, being an office dog isn't in the future.

Buscemi's foster mom had this to say about him: "He's the softest little snuggler and has this quirk where he sits up against walls, legs, chairs, trash cans, whatever he can, just to have his back up to something.

If you've been missing a bit of the wild side and feel you could give Buscemi all that he wants, then fill out an application for him. If you are accepted you should be ready to pick him up in Nevada and have the desert adventure of a lifetime together.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from the foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
