“Chutney is a fun loving and happy go lucky gal. She is a bit of a ham and loves attention, she is not above whining for a belly rub. She loves nothing more than to hang outdoors and follow you around as you do your chores, she is especially helpful when using the leaf blower...”

Chutney is a fun loving and happy go lucky gal who is ready to find her perfect forever home! Chutney came to FBRN when her owner could no longer afford the expense of her care. Chutney will require daily Apoquel to keep her allergies in check, and her tail pocket needs attention daily.

Chutney can be a bit of a ham and loves any and all attention. She is not above whining when demanding belly rubs! Chutney's favorite thing to do is to be outside. She is happy playing outside or just sitting and watching the world go by. When indoors, Chutney is content to follow her favorite humans around the house – she has to make sure she doesn’t miss anything! And did we mention that she LOVES to be outdoors? Ideally on a warm patio sunning her buns! Chutney doesn't enjoy the cold weather and will burrow under blankets to get warmed up! She sleeps at night in bed with her favorite humans and will snuggle deep down under the covers.

Chutney is not aggressive towards other dogs, but she is very leash reactive (wailing, barking, and lunging when she sees another dog). Chutney can also be a bit of a bully (hey, she is a bulldog) who will dominantly posture over and heckle submissive dogs, male or female. She would do best as an only dog. Young children wouldn’t be a great fit since Chutney’s play tends to be “mouthy", although she has never caused any injury. She simply likes to hold your hand in her mouth when playing!

Chutney is an avid chewer who loves Nylabone and antlers - soft toys last only mere moments! She enjoys walks around the neighborhood but as mentioned can be reactive when seeing other dogs. When outside, Chutney must be supervised since she has been caught eating sticks and mulch. She isn't scared to try anything once! Chutney has also been known to dig holes near the fence to see what's on the other side.

The perfect home for Chutney would be in a warmer climate with a secure outdoor space. She is allergic to grasses and oak trees, so those could be problematic with her allergies. Ideally, a home with a secure outdoor space since she so loves to be outdoors. Chutney has a few bouts of the zoomies during the day - she'll jump from the couch to the chair, running around in circles and barking all the while. When Chutney's happy, everyone will know! She can get loud during these times, so an apartment might not be ideal for Chutney if noise is an issue.

Here’s what Chutney’s foster mom has to say, “Chutney is a fun loving and happy go lucky gal. She is a bit of a ham and loves attention, she is not above whining for a belly rub. She loves nothing more than to hang outdoors and follow you around as you do your chores, she is especially helpful when using the leaf blower...”

If you believe you're the family for Chutney, send us your application and tell us why! Please be ready to travel to sunny Florida because FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, and adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
