“He has been a joy to foster and hopefully, he will soon find a forever home where he can get hugs, cuddles, treats and a relaxing, peaceful life with a family who loves him.”

Fizzgig is looking for a forever home where he can get the maximum attention that he deserves! This sweet and bubbly little guy was surrendered by his previous family. With cats, other dogs, and young children, they wanted to give Fizzgig the best chance at finding a more suitable forever family. FBRN is happy to help and we know the perfect match for Fizzgig is out there.

At almost 10 years old, Fizzgig could be considered a senior. He prefers the term distinguished gentleman and wants everyone to know that he’s quite spry for his age! He doesn’t have any of the typical Frenchie allergies and won’t require any special diet or allergy treatments. Other than a cataract in one eye, Fizzgig is healthy and in great shape!

Speaking of eyes, Fizzgig doesn’t see eye-to-eye with cats. His forever home must be feline-free for the safety of both Fizzgig and the felines. People are another story entirely! Fizzgig gets along great with people of all ages, and is calm and affectionate when around children. There are no children in his foster home, but we think Fizzgig would do well in a home with dog savvy children. Fizzgig tends to get anxious around other dogs. He is not a resource guarder and not overtly aggressive, but due to his anxiety, we feel that he would be happiest as an only dog. This would also allow him to get all the attention all the time, and who could argue with that!

Fizzgig is housebroken and he settled into his foster home very nicely. Chew toys are his favorite, but he also loves car rides, snuggling, napping, and just generally being adorable! He would thrive in any home where he could be the center of attention. A fenced-in yard is preferred since Fizzgig gets anxious around other dogs. He would prefer to do his business in the safety of his own yard rather than out on a walk where he might encounter other dogs! While Fizzgig would love to cuddle with his human all day, he would do fine with a person who worked. We think Fizzgig would easily adjust to going to an office if there are no other dogs or he could be behind a closed door with you, and he loves car rides, so those lucky folks who get to take their dogs to work would be a great fit!

Here are a few words from Fizzgig’s foster mom, “He has been a joy to foster and hopefully, he will soon find a forever home where he can get hugs, cuddles, treats and a relaxing, peaceful life with a family who loves him.”

If you think Fizzgig is the constant companion that you’ve been searching for, please apply for him today. Until then, he will be lounging around his foster home asking for constant cuddles in the WA, D.C. region.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Get ready for a road trip to the DC area for Mr. Fizzgig!

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

Fizzgig has displayed anxious behavior around other animals and should remain an only dog.

Sweet boy! Hope you get well and find your forever home soon. From one brindle Frenchie to another - xo Erica, Chris & Jameson
