"Gotham really is a special one. Everyone who meets him falls instantly in love, and I don't blame them! He is sweet, quirky, curious and ready for anything. I can see him being a great fit for an active family, or one with kids. If you're looking for a little ball of energy with the perfect amount of chill and cuddle, he's your man!"

Our adorable bat eared bandit Gotham is ready to find the perfect forever home! Gotham is still very much a puppy and loves to play hard all day long. Gotham LOVES playing fetch with a ball and doing zoomies in the yard, and really appreciates having a friend to romp with. If you love hanging out in the backyard playing tug and fetch and are looking for an active Frenchie, Gotham could be the one for you!

Gotham loves children, all other pets, and just about everyone he meets. The perfect home for Gotham should be active and able to give him a lot of exercise and attention, as he is quite high energy. He needs something to do and lots of toys to keep him busy. Otherwise, he'll get into things if they're around and available (like computer cords, according to his former owner). He needs to have people around to keep him busy and tire him out during the day. He would probably love to live with children or another dog as a playmate. He is okay with cats, but has a tendency to try to chase and play with them. If the cat is dog-savvy, it's fine, but if it is not used to dogs, he could be more of a stressor to them. When it comes to other dogs, Gotham is not a dominant dog - he'll back off if challenged, but he's not overly submissive either. When it's bedtime, he's a serious cuddler and sleeper! He will flop right on top of his foster mom, or try to cuddle with his foster Frenchie sibling.

Gotham is housebroken and crate trained. He used to cry in his crate, but since his foster mom began feeding him and giving him toys in there, he is happy to go in and hasn't made a peep. He knows a few basic commands like sit, down, and shake. He is highly toy and food motivated and learns new obedience commands easily. He still is working on leash manners, but they are getting better.

Gotham could live in a house or an apartment, but he would LOVE a fenced yard that he could go crazy and play in. Gotham is fine in his crate for a normal work day, and will not have accidents, but he really does need a good amount of exercise and should not be kept crated all day. Gotham should not be adopted by someone that needs to leave him at home alone during an eight hour work day, even with a midday dog walker. He should have a family where someone is around often enough during the day to keep him active and happy. Gotham might be a good dog to bring to the office since he is super friendly, but he probably would be distracting and wander around looking for attention!

Gotham can be adopted by someone local or someone who needs to travel to adopt him. He loves car rides and just curls right up and goes to sleep.

Gotham's foster mom has this to share about him, "Gotham really is a special one. Everyone who meets him falls instantly in love, and I don't blame them! He is sweet, quirky, curious and ready for anything. I can see him being a great fit for an active family, or one with kids. If you're looking for a little ball of energy with the perfect amount of chill and cuddle, he's your man!"

This bat eared bandit is being fostered in Northern NJ and will not be shipped.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Except in rare or unusual cases, adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter's home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
