"Kendra is fantastic when not feeling threatened. If she doesn’t have another dog or non-dog savvy child around, I think she would be perfect. She has so much fun meeting people, she’s soft as a teddy bear and loves to snuggle. She is able to go on adventure walks, play hard, then be a happy couch potato for movie night. She’s so sweet. All she needs is to be in the right situation and she’s able to be a perfect dog."

There's an amazingly charming new girl to hit the available page at FBRN. Kendra is an adult fawn Frenchie who was surrendered to FBRN when her previous family had a new addition to their family. They thought it would be too hard to manage with two dogs that didn't get along all of the time, so Kendra was lovingly surrendered.

The great news is that this girl has no health problems currently and no special needs. She seems to love everyone she meets. She even likes kitties! Any children should be 12+ and dog savvy, as Kendra isn't a fan of feeling cornered or little ones that might stick things too close to her face, and she is a resource guarder, which means she is not going to share her toys or her food. She is not particularly keen on big dogs. She currently lives with another Frenchie in her foster home and it took several days of quarantine before she calmed down. Now that they are used to each other, Kendra will tolerate her foster sibling, but she doesn't seem to enjoy the company. It is thought that Kendra is not really a fan of other dogs in the house, so we will give preference to homes where she can be an only dog.

Kendra is a happy camper with humans. She tends to be a loafer in the house, but does enjoy a good game of tennis ball fetch. She has an easy going personality and loves to be sweet to her people. She loves to use that Frenchie bark to let you know someone is at the door or that she must go out and do her business. Kendra enjoys a leisurely walk of up to an hour in the morning. She is potty trained and will let you know.

This girl could adjust to many different types of living situations. First time Frenchie owners would be perfectly fine for Kendra. She is pretty healthy and has already had her nares done, so she breathes well. The good news is she doesn't snore that much, so she wouldn't keep anyone awake all night. Kendra doesn't like to be alone and she will cry, so a house might be nice, but a townhouse or condo without shared walls would do too. She would also do great if someone were home most of the day. Kendra would also be adaptable to accompanying one to the office to be an assistant. She prefers walks to just going out in the yard, so a fenced yard is not necessary and she’s not the type to try and run away from you. All that Kendra needs a home with plenty of time and attention to give.

Kendra's foster mom had this to say about her:"Kendra came into FBRN after her original mom and dad decided the new human baby made it too difficult to manage the two dogs in the house that didn’t always get along. Also, a 3 year old child cornered Kendra and stuck their finger up her nose, and Kendra responded by snapping, but not breaking the skin. The owners said it was clearly in self defense, but felt it was too risky to have the baby in the house with this dog. In fact, the previous owner said Kendra really likes kids. If you're looking for a loving girl who wants to take up your time and attention with long walks, then look no farther than Kendra. All that you need to do is fill out an application and be ready to pick her up if you are selected.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
