“Milkyway is so full of life and she really needs a home that can make her the center of her world. Her little eyes are so full of love and devotion, even just having been here a few weeks.
Her favorite time of day is morning when she wakes up, runs over to the bedside and does her Milkyway howl, basically saying, "Pick me up, mom. It's cuddle time!" We put her up on the bed and she goes wild--she romps around and does figure eights--all before we've even had a cup of coffee, she's burned 500 calories! She's full of life and really is such a happy go lucky gal. She makes us laugh all of the time, especially when the stuffed dinosaur crosses the line and needs to be attacked! Whoever adopts this little girl will gain a sweet and loyal companion who will bring a smile to their face all day. She's a real Frenchie gem!”

If you’re looking for a little sparkle in your life, prepare to be dazzled by Milkyway! This adult female is a charmer who loves to be the star of the show, whether it’s throwing her Nylabones in the air or wrestling.

Milkyway is affectionate and loves to be around her people and can get anxious if she is left alone--she takes medication to help her cope. She can be bossy around other dogs and is a resource guarder, so it’s best that she’s the only one in your galaxy, though she might be ok with an older male dog. We don’t know too much about her history, but it takes her a while to get used to new people (especially men), so slow introductions are needed.

Once she’s settled in, though, her personality shines through! Milkyway is an active gal who loves walks and playing but is ready to cuddle up when it’s time. She has been sleeping in a crate, but she will be your alarm clock if you selfishly choose to sleep past 7 am! Early to bed, early to rise, you know!

Milkyway wants to be the center of your universe and would do best in a home where she can get lots of attention and won’t be left alone too often. Someone who stays at home or has a home office arrangement would be best (you should not take her to work, though).

Frenchies are often strong-willed, but Milkyway will sit when she’s asked to, and will (sometimes!) respond to “no”. She is also a bit of an adventurer and will escape and explore if she finds a way out--keep an eye on her if she is let out in the yard! A city environment would be the most entertaining for her if she is able to people-watch out a window. She makes her foster family laugh with her joie de vivre, and hopes to enter the orbit of someone special to bring that twinkle to your home!

Milkyway is willing to expand into your world if you think she's the one for you.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

ABOUT MILKYWAY

Milkyway takes Trazodone for anxiety. Continued training is needed to address the triggers for her separation anxiety.

Milkyway is a resource guarder so should remain an only dog. It is best to feed Milkyway in a quiet room or in her crate.

Milkyway has a history of urinary tract infections and your vet can tell you what to look for if they recur. She should remain on her current diet.
