"Pixie truly is a sweet girl and has stolen all of our hearts. She's a loving pup with the perfect mix of playfulness and cuddle. She is a great dog and I am certain she will make a great addition to someone's "pack"."

Adorable little Pixie is ready to fly the coop and find a perfect forever home! Pixie's favorite things are to be with her people, play with other dogs, and sunbathe. Are you looking for a silly Frenchie that still acts like a puppy? If so, Pixie could be the girl for you!

Pixie is a very playful 2-year-old brindle girl who just wants to have fun. Her game of choice is fetch, with chase coming in a close second. Pixie can be incredibly fast and is very agile. Having another doggie companion seems to suit her well. After a good romp around the house or yard, she turns into a little snuggle bug on the couch and curls up next to her favorite person or dog for a nice nap. Her other favorite sleepy time hangouts are the sunny spots on the floor. She also loves to go for car rides and is always game for a road trip.

Pixie would do well in any type of living environment: condo, house or apartment, but a place with a fenced yard would be ideal and will be given preference. She has moments where she needs play time, but it doesn't usually last very long before she wants to go sunbathe. If her new owners do not have a fenced yard, she will need to be kept on a regular potty walk schedule and, of course, she must be walked on a lead, since her recall is not 110% and she tends to wander off. The best home for Pixie is one with another submissive dog. While she LOVES to play with other dogs, as is typical of Frenchie girls, she will try to be the alpha dog. She gets along great with the resident dog (a Boston terrier mix) in her foster home, however he is very submissive. Pixie's new family also needs to be home most of the day or be able to bring her to work with them. Pixie is crate trained but does not like to be left alone in the house for too long. If she is left alone for more than a few hours she will go potty in the house. Pixie's new family can also be first time Frenchie owners, but should be well-educated on the breed.

This little cupcake is super smart and already knows sit, paw, lay down, and roll over! Pixie will benefit from additional obedience training so that she can bond with her new owners and learn the rules of the roost. One interesting thing about this Jersey girl is that she can be picky about the weather and will not potty outside if it is raining or very cold. Her new owners will need to take her on walks when it is cold or go out in the yard with her to make sure she "goes potty" when its cold, rainy, and the like. Pixie's new family will need to have a solid supply of chew toys. Pixie will chew on ANYTHING. If it's laying on the ground, she thinks it's fair game.

Pixie is currently eating a limited ingredient diet that is grain free. Her former owner mentioned that she had allergies and she has not exhibited any allergies while on this diet. Her new owners will need to keep her on a grain free diet.

Pixie's foster family has this to share about her, "Pixie truly is a sweet girl and has stolen all of our hearts. She's a loving pup with the perfect mix of playfulness and cuddle. She is a great dog and I am certain she will make a great addition to someone's "pack"."
