Here comes Sparkle, living up to her name by being a shiny, happy gem of a pup! This three-year-old brindle girl was surrendered under sad circumstances, when her human passed away. She was well-loved, house-, crate-, and obedience-trained, and was Canine Good Citizen-certified. She just needs another fantastic home to continue being the sparkliest frog she can be!
Her foster family notes that Sparkle is very active. She’s done some agility and she’s a bit of a fetchaholic: do not stop throwing the ball! On no account must the ball cease to be thrown. A home with several people with good arms would be perfect for Sparkle. Need physical therapy following rotator cuff surgery? Sparkle would be glad to help. Preference will be given to homes with a fenced yard for the purposes of playing safer fetch. On her downtime, she loves to eat, cuddle and sunbathe. She’d love a family that loves to move, bearing in mind the Frenchie predilection towards overheating.
Her foster family reports that Sparkle can be food-aggressive around her more dominant foster-sister, but is fine with the other dogs. She likes to be Number One, when it comes to food. Give her her meals and treats away from other dogs, maybe in her crate or in a different room, and she'll be fine; otherwise, she LOVES other dogs and kids! She can get barky if she’s excited, but she doesn’t make any noise when she’s alone. You can leave her at home or take her to work -- she’s adaptable.
Sparkle’s foster home adores her and will miss her when she’s gone, but they know that she will bring some brightness to someone’s life.
“Come grab Miss Sparkle! She is all set to play in this beautiful weather. You'll just love her as much as we do.”
Tiny Ms. Sparkle is small enough to travel by plane in cabin, so don't let distance be a barrier to adopting a fetchamaniac.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Except in rare or unusual cases, adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter's home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
