Who is ready for an adorable fawn Frenchie? How could anyone turn one down you ask? Tiny came to FBRN when her previous family couldn't care for her any longer and she is now ready to find her perfect forever home.
Now, when you hear Tiny, perhaps you are thinking a small dog that you might be worried about stepping on or losing in the couch cushions! This girl is anything but tiny – coming in at 40 pounds, she's sure hard to miss. Tiny is a super sweet, velcro Frenchie. One might ask, what exactly is a velcro Frenchie? Well, Tiny loves her people and doesn't want to be without them so she sticks to her people like velcro. She is more than happy being right next to you no matter what you are doing! So, while she isn’t so tiny that you would need to worry about losing her in the couch cushions, you should be prepared to have her near you all the time.
Tiny has a history of urinary tract infections and must be monitored for reoccurrence. Other than that, she has no health issues and is in great shape! Tiny tends to be more of a follower and will go with the flow of things in her home. She does have a bit of a mischievous streak and likes to chase the neighbor's dog through the fence. Tiny does well with the resident dogs in her foster home and also does great with children. It should be noted that in a game of chase or while playing she will nip at heels and fingers, and can be a bit rough or mouthy when playing. Tiny has never nipped outside of playtime, but families with younger children should be aware of this behavior. While Tiny has a giant stash of toys, she prefers her bones or antlers to chew on. She has never been introduced to cats, so for the safety of our feline friends, we must say no to forever homes with cats.
No need for a home security system since Tiny will alert you by barking loudly anytime it sounds as if someone is entering your home! Speaking of homes, Tiny would love one with a fenced yard to run around in, but we think Tiny would do well in just about any type of home. She is housebroken and would be fine left alone while her people work. However, Tiny does not like to be crated or left in a room alone when her people are home. Tiny would love to go to a home with a dog savvy child that understands setting boundaries and loves to play with their pet. Tiny doesn't do well while travelling and is terrified of the car so taking her to work with you or going on long road trips is out of the question.
Tiny's foster mom had this to say about her: "Tiny is the sweetest dog that craves affection. She wants to be right where you are at all times. She would follow us to the ends of the earth if we let her. She has a great demeanor and has been so wonderful with our daughter. I've never trusted a foster dog more with my daughter. She has a great smile and an even better happy dance. When she gets excited, she tends to tap her front feet back and forth...it's absolutely precious."
If you feel like you have a great space for Tiny to thrive in, then all you need to do is fill out an application and be ready to pick her up if you are selected. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Tiny has a history of urinary tract infections that must be monitored for recurrence.
