“Vanellope is the most perfect Frenchie. She's super sweet, affectionate, and just wants a family to love and hang out with. She has the cutest face and would make the best companion.”

Guess which sweet cream puff has become available now? It’s Vanellope! Taking her cues from namesake Vanellope von Schweetz (Wreck-It Ralph), this seven-year-old girl is full of spirit and curiosity. She was surrendered when her owners moved into a no-dogs-allowed residence and has been on the lookout for her forever home ever since.

Vanellope is a healthy girl, with only food and environmental allergies to speak of. Her diet is restricted to limit any known food allergens, but she doesn’t seem to mind. She also needs to be very strict about taking her flea and tick medication as she is also allergic to them. No blood suckers for this princess!

Her energy level is pretty normal for Frenchies - not too energetic nor too laid back. She is quite playful and loves a good chew with her toys and walks around the neighborhood. But, she's the happiest when cuddling with her human and taking a nap on top of them. To Vanellope, no human limb or stomach is off limits!

Vanellope’s feistiness really comes out when it comes to food and toys. While she has been working on her manners, she still has a ways to go in the training department. Until she can prove that she has conquered her food and toy aggression, she must be fed separately from other dogs, if present, and monitored with toys and children. She turns fierce very quickly when guarding what she sees as hers.

As long as Vanellope gets plenty of attention and affection, she’ll do well in most homes. She would prefer a home with someone around most of the time as she is known to have a bit of separation anxiety. She has improved with her anxiety, but still has a good cry every once in a while when left on her own, so apartment-dwellers should think about whether you can tuck her into a room without shared walls when you have to go out without her. She is housebroken, but will sometimes have an accident, likely stress related. She’s bound to improve once she settles into her own home, but adopters should expect accidents for some period of time--maybe permanently (she is a Frenchie, after all)--so if accidents in the house are a deal-breaker, think seriously about whether you want to apply for this dear girl.

Here is what Vanellope’s foster mom has to say: “Vanellope is the most perfect Frenchie. She's super sweet, affectionate, and just wants a family to love and hang out with. She has the cutest face and would make the best companion.”

If you think Vanellope is the cream puff for you, please tell us why in an application, and be ready for a trip to California to pick-up this beautiful girl!

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
