Let's give a warm welcome to our newest hunk at FBRN. Samuel is a 3-year-old brindle boy who found his way to FBRN when his previous mom felt she didn't have the time to devote to him because there was a new baby in the house. He was then given to his grandparents and they were concerned with how he was breathing. Luckily, they called on FBRN to help Samuel find a forever home.
Samuel's breathing sounds as though he is snoring all the time. He does have some serious airway trouble, he drinks excessively, and is not able to hold down food. Samuel also had some recent weight loss that his surrendering owners were not previously able to address. His vet records indicate that he might have IVDD.
Since Samuel started foster care he has been using an elevated bowl and having his food softened for him. This has helped him be able to keep his meals down. He still does drink excessively and that of course means that he has to potty frequently. He will be going to the vet shortly to have a work up to see what is going on with this sweet boy.
The good news is that Samuel is crate trained, loves children, and loves any toys he can get his paws on. This boy seems to be active and playful despite any medical problems he might have.
If you have some spare change collecting in a dish, Samuel would appreciate if you might consider donating some to go towards his vet expenses. All you need to do is click on the link to sponsor this little sweetheart. Thank you!
For Sweet Samuel, we wish you love and good luck on your road to health and wellness. From FBRN Grad Rosie Best.
