Carmy is one of those Frenchie girls who is convinced the world revolves around her. When she started getting in fights with the older resident Frenchie, her owner, who was expecting her first child, was worried both about the safety of her Frenchie and also about the baby's safety if Carmy became jealous. Carmy came to us.
Though Carmy has a couple of hot spots at her tail and one armpit, she's on meds for them and should be cleared up pdq. Her owners say she has a slipped disk, but there is no evidence of it in Carmy's behavior. Her's what her foster mom says about her personality: "Carmy is a perfect dog as long as she’s the only animal. She is such a sweet doll, words cannot express what I mean. She loves ALL people! Whenever she sees a person she does one of 2 things- she jumps up with excitement implying “Pick me up! Pick me up!” or she will drop to the ground and roll on her back to get her belly rubbed. She listens to her humans submissively and follows them everywhere. She needs to be around people. She will cry if I go into the bathroom and close the door (even though I'm only in there for 60 seconds.) She is a very relaxed dog, not rambunctious at all. She is usually laying near my side. Around other animals she becomes dominant and ferocious and attacks. It is mandatory that she is the ONLY pet. She would be happiest that way, and also with a backyard so she can do her number 2 business in private. She will make the perfect pet for a family that will let her be the queen of the house. I love her so much, I would apply for her myself, but it would stop me from fostering again, and I want to continue to do that.
Carmy is housebroken, but she has some odd toilet habits, including needing privacy. She doesn’t really like the leash. She pulls against it and always wants to head back home. I have to pick her up and carry away from our house and place her on the grass. She likes her crate just fine. Her favorite things are snuggling and riding in the car and coming home for a belly rub."
Here's the family we are looking for for Carmy: Carmy’s perfect home would be one with a backyard and no other animals. It would not matter if it were a single person, adults, or a family with dog-savvy children. Her only issues would be addressed and solved in a home where she’d be the ONLY pet and with a fenced-in backyard. It also would not matter if her forever family were first time Frenchie owners. She is healthy. She is a very easy pet. Someone who is home all day would be Carmy's preference, but we'll consider a family with people who work outside the home. She'd love to go to work if she could be the only dog in the office.
Here are some final words from her foster mom about sweet, petite Carmy:
"Carmy deserves a loving home because she is a tiny little white ball of love herself. She is such a great companion. I love that I can take her on car rides with me. Her new family needs to accept that she is not a dog that will be going to the dog park. She is a little princess and needs to be the only center of attention. She will not share the spotlight! I love her so much and I am determined to find her the perfect home. She has so much love to give. She is one happy frog and she always makes us laugh with that ridiculous big smile of hers!"
Carmy is grinning like a possum in Southern Florida. We won't ship her, so you should be prepared to make the trip to pick her tiny self up.
