Nifty, nice Nano is anxious to find a loving home where he can live inside and cuddle in laps all the time. He is a good boy, full of personality who needs the perfect niche for his twenty-eight pound self. Although he is a senior frog, he is very active with plenty of love and laughter left to share.
Nano was surrendered because his original guardian was unable to devote enough time to caring for him, and he was spending a lot of time outdoors. Fortunately, he is none the worse for wear from his alfresco years. He is heartworm negative and has a clean bill of health.
This fellow is really looking for a home that is Nano-centric. He loves people large and small, and lives to entertain with his silly antics. In fact, there are a lot of things that he enjoys as long as people are involved. He enjoys baths, rides in the car, chewing on toys and napping. His favorite spot to sleep is curled in a nice little ball right next to his humans. An early riser, his internal clock is being readjusted by his foster parents who enjoy sleeping in! He still enjoys the great outdoors as well, and his forever home should have a fenced yard. Because he is older, a single story home with minimal steps would be best to protect him from falls. Nano is working on housebreaking skills and is making progress. He does not like being crated, crying and whining with anxiety.
When it comes to dogs, Nano did not get along with a dominant male in his first foster home and they had to be separated. But he loved the nine month old female English bulldog. They romped and wrassled all the time. In his second foster home, he is doing fine with a young male Frenchie and two more English bullies. Nano is okay with cats, too!
Nano was on his own for a long time, but is looking for a loving home where he can be given guidance and plenty of TLC. He will return it a thousand fold with his devotion. His foster mom adds, “Nano is a roly poly little doll we call Meatball. He likes to play, chew Nylabones and play with toys. His best tricks are coming when called and rolling on his back to get his belly rubbed. He loves to sleep while you are watching television. He gives great kisses and is really lovable.”
“I would like to see Nano go to a home where someone is going to be with him all the time. If you can’t stay home with him he would be a perfect dog to take to work, curled under your desk in his bed. You would be very popular too! People that are experienced with dogs would be helpful. He likes other dogs but really needs to be in the same room as his owners. If the home has tile that would be great because he sometimes makes mistakes on carpet or small rugs. He has some skin allergies and uses a special shampoo.”
“Nano is an older Frenchie but acts a lot younger He is very affectionate and loves to be held and taken care of. He walked in the day we brought him home and fit right in with our family. We put his bed down on the floor and he dragged it under our coffee table and curled up and went to sleep. He’s a little butterball of love.”
