Pretty Petunia is a sweet and tender little blossom looking for a new garden where she can flourish and put down roots. She’s playful yet mellow, and would be the perfect transplant to complete your home. Are you the gardener of new beginnings who will give her a chance?

Petunia basks in the sunshiny happiness of human companionship. When she is with her people she flourishes. When left alone, she begins to wilt. She was surrendered to FBRN when divorce in her family left her solitary for twelve hour periods. Her anxiety manifested itself in itchy dermatitis. Her ear and feet were most affected. The irritation is well under control in foster care. She takes one Temaril-P per day, and enjoys having a stay-at-home mom. She is enamored with the resident toddler and the house is filled with their silly play. Foot-licking and ear scratching are not preoccupations with such pleasant company to enjoy.

She’s such a sweetie-pie deluxe, Petunia would do well in many different types of homes as long is she can be with her beloved people. In her foster home, she enjoys the freedom of a doggie door and fenced yard but she also walks very nicely on a leash. She would brighten your apartment or condo. Cat lovers rejoice, Petunia is even kitty-tested and could share life with a purring pal.

If you stay at home or can bring a dog to work with you, she would be the perfect frog for you. A day at the office basking in the attention of new people would just make Petunia glow. It’s enough to give new meaning to “Quality of Work Life.” Petunia is well housebroken and crate trained. With all this wonderfulness to share, we have to admit Petunia does have one bad habit, one that many Frenchies share. If left to her own devices she will consume her feces. This is easily avoided by cleaning up after her promptly. Since she is so well housebroken, stay vigilant with the scooper on walks and when outside and all will be well. Also, on the occasion when you have to leave her alone it is best to gate or crate Petunia to keep her safe and accident free.

Petunia’s foster mom is having a very good time having her as a guest. She says, “I can’t begin to tell you what a sweet dog Petunia is. She’s so sweet; I would keep her, seriously. Her mellow personality and grey hair are more that of an older dog, but she is only five. She loves sleeping in bed with you. Loves just to be with you, lots. She would immediately fit right into a family. Housebroken, sweet, likes to play, likes car rides, loves to snuggle – what MORE could anyone possibly want in a dog?”

Nothing at all we opine. Petunia is what Frenchie love is all about. She is a hardy little perennial who is ready to plant herself right in your lap and never look back. She’s biding her time in SW Pennsylvania, waiting for you to arrive. You’ll have to come in person, as she is too precious to be shipped.
