“Country music is the people's music. It just speaks about real life and about truth and it tells things how they really are.”
Faith Hill

We readily admit that we don’t know much about country music. But we do know a lot about Frenchies. And this little boy, our Rascal Flatts, is a heart string pluckin’ good one. An uncommonly sweet and empathetic companion, he is ready to be movin’ on. Tiny at nineteen pounds, his huge personality will win you over the second you meet him. When he first came to FBRN, Rascal was grieving as his human mom had just passed away. He quickly cowboyed up, though, and his sparkle returned after some remedial snuggling from his loving foster mom. Equilibrium restored, he set about capturing her heart with his endearing personality.

You say you can take your dog to work with you? Rascal is the man! He just loves getting out to meet the public and is very well behaved on the job. He has been going to the office with his foster mom and shows off his very best behavior. He is such an easygoing fellow; he would be good to have around in most any kind of home. He loves young’uns, particularly teens. He gets so excited to see children he gets a little jumpy, so he should be watched around wee ones. He might topple a little tyke which could hurt both of them.

Rascal relishes doggy companionship too, and other small or medium sized dogs will be a must for his new home. You could have a thousand acre farm or an apartment, he doesn’t care. Just give him some companions to hang with when you are not home. And be patient please if he has an occasional pee accident. Keep an eye on him and give him enough chances to go out and he will be good.

A very spunky boy, Rascal loves to strut his stuff doing the canine two-step on walks around the neighborhood. He doesn’t impose his will on other dogs, but will give a little warning growl if he thinks there is a trespasser paying too much attention to his favorite toy or food bowl.

Just getting started with Frenchies? Rascal would be an easy first frog. He doesn’t have any temperament issues and only minor allergies which are controlled with half of a Temaril-P twice a day. He’s going to want to be up in your lap, on the furniture and in your bed. If that suits you, you will get along just fine.

We mentioned at the start that Rascal is uncommonly sweet and empathetic. Just listen to this story his foster mom shared. “Rascal is my first FBRN foster, so he will always be special. He has a way of connecting with people. He seems to know if you are upset or sad. One day, a woman came into our office when he was there. When he saw her, he insisted going to see her, jumping up on his back legs and asking to be held. I apologized and told her he doesn’t usually act like that. She picked him up and he snuggled into her neck like a baby. She became teary, telling me that she had just put her dog to sleep the week before. Rascal seemed to know she needed a puppy hug. He will always be there for you when you need him.”

There are few things truer in life than the love of a good little dog. Rascal is waiting to show you that he is the one you have been waiting for. He is appearing live in central California, and will not be shipped.
