Sinnamon with - an “S” – has her bags packed and is looking for her forever home! She just knows the perfect someone is out there who will appreciate all of her special qualities and big huge heart. Here’s what she wants us to tell you about herself:

Sinnamon says that she came into rescue from a retired breeder and is in perfect health! She is also working very hard on her potty training skills. She is learning to go to the door to signal her need but says she will have an occasional accident if her person is just not paying attention. She is adaptable to doing her business on either grass or cement, so a house with a small yard, condo or apartment would be fine. Sinnamon says that she would really prefer to have a fenced yard as she enjoys taking walks but can be stubborn on a leash.

Obedience training should be a must for Sinnamon’s forever family. She already listens very well and understands a couple of basic commands. (She would like to point out that she is working hard on her leash walking skills and her forever family should be committed to continuing working with her for her ultimate success.) Plenty of kind words and positive praise go a long way with Sinnamon.

Sinnamon would like her forever family to know that she is crate-trained! Her foster mom crates her when she is alone to reinforce her potty training. If she is left in a gated area instead she has accidents. Sinnamon has gotten used to sleeping in the people bed at night – not her crate! She would like to suggest that her forever family supply her with her own pillow.

Some of Sinnamon’s favorite things include: Nylabones, stuffed animals, and all people. Sinnamon loves children and has enjoyed the kids in her foster home. She does tend to be a bit jumpy and could potentially knock a toddler down, so children over 5 years would be best. Sinnamon would love to live in a home with respectful children and continue to soak up all their lovin’.

Sinnamon says that she is completely unimpressed with the two kitties in her foster home and thinks she will most likely behave the same with other felines. However, dog-savvy cats would be best in her forever home.

Dogs, however, are a different story. Sinnamon just wants ALL of the attention and is not willing to share. She will become VERY dominant and assertive when it comes to the attention of her person and does not want another dog interfering. If Sinnamon is placed with another dog, her forever family must be willing to monitor the situation very carefully because Sinnamon will become confrontational with the other dog. For this reason we feel that Sinnamon would be happiest placed in an only dog situation or with possibly a larger, very submissive dog.

Sinnamon gets very anxious when left alone, so she would like her forever family to be one in which someone is home most of the day. Sinnamon would love to be an office dog. She’d lie in her doggy bed by your feet until it was time to go.

Besides that, Sinnamon says that she is basically laid-back. She just wants to be doing what her person is doing. She loves car rides and would most likely adapt to any situation. She’s pretty low energy and is happiest on the couch close to her family.

Here are a few words from Sinnamon’s foster mom: "Sinnamon is a dog who craves attention and really deserves it. I want a family to include her and spend A LOT of time with her because when alone she becomes nervous, barks and whines. Sinnamon deserves a house with children if possible. She loves the kisses and extra pats from the little ones. Sinnamon cannot be left alone too long without a potty break and with the hard life she had deserves a family that is home as much as possible. Please, if placed with another dog you have to realize that she does have issues with sharing attention. She will let your dog know that she wants to be the only one loved and will have to be shown that there is enough love to share."
