One of the first of the Oklahoma puppy mill survivors to make the available page is none other than Wonderful Walli. Walli along with nine other special Frenchies were purchased at a Dog Auction on March 15, 2008. They were purchased by members of FBRN in an attempt to offer each Frenchie a new life as a beloved member of a family. The Auction has left haunting impressions in the minds of those who attended and the nightmare of seeing all those faces and only being able to help a few. There are truly angels amongst us working toward the goal of saving one dog at a time.

Welcome Walli to his new life where he has been rescued, saved and rehabilitated. Now it's his chance and time to find a forever home and family, something nonexistent to him in his first year.

Walli currently carries his own little medical bag for his prescribed medications in caring for an ear infection, fungal infection and demodectic mange. The medications are working as hoped, no more ouchy ears or smelly skin, and his areas of missing fur will grow into a sleek, glossy creamy coat. His ears will always droop, there isn't a cure for that, but we love Walli and his ear set as it's part of his uniqueness and what makes him so darn cute.

Walli thinks this foster home is just great! He loves the little one, a year old toddler just his size and both are babies starting out in this big world. He also adores the female Frenchie in his home and thinks she may just be the best thing in the world besides Nylabones. Rumor has it that Walli has issues with dogs of the male gender. In foster care this hasn't been explored nor has Walli been exposed to the feline persuasion. We're thinking a home without cats and male dogs would be the answer to these little personality quirks.

Walli is a happy-go-lucky pup with a fair amount of energy and the need for both human and girlie canine companions. Lace up your sneakers as Walli will be hoping for a game of fetch, a walk around the block, or both if your schedule will allow. It's spring, time for energizing and exercising and this frogboy will help you commit to his routine while doing something healthy for yourself. Inside time allows a quick nap for you on the La-Z-boy while the canine kids entertain themselves with a wrestling match and gnawing on Nylabones. It's a pretty good guess that you'll end up with a sleeping Frenchie on your lap as Walli loves cuddle time as much as playtime. He loves any and all attention and his main request is to be your companion. He wants you to acknowledge his presence, praise him for all good things and gently redirect him in areas of training. If you can offer a schedule combining playtime and training, we promise Walli will flourish in your company. This boy is a people-pleaser, he puts his whole heart into life and is worthy of an adoring family.

His manners are impeccable inside the house, quite a feat for a boy who lived inside a filthy cage and was forced to eliminate in the area that was his home. He is crate-trained, almost housebroken and might enjoy an in-home obedience class where he could put on his thinking cap and get right to it. He has no issues with food or toy aggression, and again, this is remarkable as previously he had only limited food and never any toys.

Our preference for Walli would be a home where someone is available to him throughout the day. However, if a scheduled noontime visit is arranged for Walli by either the family or a petsitter/ dogwalker, Walli would also do well. Our request is that Walli have a good game of fetch, a walk or some training throughout the day, presently he is never alone for more than a three hour period.

Walli would love having a home of any type that offered a small back yard. One of his greatest pleasures is sniffing the grass, discovering trees, and yes, running back inside after three minutes as he wants to ensure he always has a home.

Are your work days long, perhaps a little boring? Take Walli with you, tuck his doggy bed under your desk, don't forget his Nylabone and you're covered 'til lunch break. You can take a nice walk at lunch, enjoy each other's company and finish the day in the company of your best friend.

Please read the following thoughts from Walli's foster family, the people who know him best.

"Walli really needs a family (or person) who has the energy and time to spend properly training and socializing a young dog. He is a puppy and life is an adventure for him. He is a very happy, loving, affectionate dog and if trained properly, will bring someone a lifetime of joy."

If this cream boy with the floppy ears has captured your heart, please pack up the car for a roadtrip to Texas, Walli will not be shipped.
