Angie is a beautiful, mature lady, who is definitely ready to retire in style. After being used as a breeder for many years and producing who knows how many litters, Angie was advertised for sale in a small paper, and the rest is, as they say, history. She is now in the loving care of FBRN, and her foster mom will get her in tip top shape and ready for her new forever home.
Angie is an 8 year old pied doll with a sweet, albeit timid, temperament. She has already gotten along well with a small child and two other dogs. She’s a resilient girl, but there is some evidence of the difficult life she has lived up to now. Angie has some staining on her legs, growths between her toes, and splayed feet from the wire flooring and muck she has lived in. The poor girl is also missing some teeth and seems to have an infection in her eyes. While she does seem to be sighted and have her hearing, there is a possibility that both are either impaired or declining. One ear is swollen shut, and her facial folds and nose, as well as the skin on her belly, are clearly very irritated and inflamed. The vet will be able to give us further details, as well give her a thorough exam.
Despite all of this, Angie is a sweet little angel. She is not housetrained, but she is crate trained, and her foster mommy will get her potty issues sorted promptly. Angie is a bit wary of hands, but she shows no aggression, only timidity. Believe it or not, she is so shy that she can’t even be tempted by tasty meat treats!
Angie is all cleaned up and learning what a real home is like—warm, cozy, and full of love. Her foster mom soothes Angie to sleep with sweet lullabies, and after her difficult life, she deserves to sleep the carefree sleep of a beloved and cherished pet.
