Artie is an owner surrender who was much beloved in his former home. Like lots of frogs we know, Artie has allergy problems.

Thanks to information provided by his former owner, we know quite a bit already about Artie's "likes and dislikes". Artie's list of dislikes included walks, while his list of likes included marshmallows (his luggage had some extra large marshmallows inside!) and being spoiled. Artie 's foster mom sat down with Artie and they had a heart to heart chat about health issues and Frenchies and the "tough love" necessary to successfully deal with allergies. She informed Artie that unfortunately, the marshmallows would have to go on the "must avoid"allergy list and that he would probably learn to enjoy taking lots of healthful walks, once he got the hang of it! He nodded his big head, took his first doggie multi-vitamin, had a nice bowl of homemade chicken stew, and took a sudsy warm bath. Not exactly boot camp! Mom also washed his bedding to get rid of any possible allergens lurking there. In just a couple of days she thinks his allergy bumps are fading a little! Artie is adjusting like a real trooper to his new life in foster care. He gets along with everyone - even the cats!
