UPDATE 5/1/08: It's a rough patch of weather for Breezie. After a bout with demodectic mange, this sweet girl now finds herself stricken with giardia (I had that once. It's no fun!) We're hoping we can get this taken care of in a hurry so dear Breezie can see clear skies ahead!

The hawk is out -- winter's bitter arctic winter winds are blowing across the land. Thankfully, our gentle little Breezie is safe and toasty in her loving foster home. Breezie was relinquished to FBRN by her loving family because an illness left them unable to care for her.

Breezie is a smartly pied brindle and white girl. At 18 pounds, she is one of those coveted pint-sized frenchies. A sweet froglet, quiet and eager to please, Breezie has settled in to her new situation with seeming ease. Though only one year old, she is generally well-socialized. She took to her foster sibling, a frenchie boy, right away. They are getting along famously. She is also housebroken and crate trained.

The stressful changes in her life may have caused Breezie to experience a demodectic mange breakout. She has some small suspicious looking patches which will be looked at by a vet. She also has an unusual gait, which needs to checked as well. In the meantime, Breezie's foster mom is fortifying her charge with wholesome, nutritious foods and holistic supplements to strengthen her immune system.

We're predicting fair skies and balmy days ahead for precious Breezie. Happy days are in her forecast, but she could surely use your assistance. Click on Breezie's picture to the right to help the sun break through the clouds.
