OKLAHOMA 10 PUPPYMILL

Darlin' is a 6_ year old gal from the Oklahoma 10. She is having a great time in her foster home and has not left her foster mom's side since she picked her up! She is definitely people friendly, and mostly dog friendly, as well. She's a bit jealous of lap time with mom and has snapped at each of the other foster dogs in her home when they wanted a share of the attention. Once she learns that there's plenty of love to go around outside of the puppy mill, this should improve.

Darlin' is heartworm negative, and all her health concerns are treatable. She had a hematoma in her right ear that because it was not treated, "cauliflowered," and both ears are now very infected and swollen. Careful cleaning, bandaging, and antiobiotics should clear up the infection quickly. Her teeth are in awful shape, and it is affecting her desire to eat, so some dental work could also be in Darlin's future. Shhhh… don't tell her! Then again, give her a nice lap to lie in before and after, and this sweet little thing might not even notice.
