Handsome Hudson has come across the river to his new foster home with FBRN. Hudson arrived with a lot of inventory. He has been very well taken care of in his previous life, having been with his family since he was a tiny little frog. He is now 6 years old and is learning to adjust to a new routine. As you can imagine, it’s a little hard for Hudson.

Luckily, Hudson has an awesome foster family who will help him sort through some of the issues that Hudson also brings with him. There has been some confusion about what Hudson likes and doesn’t like, especially concerning children. He reportedly did fine with his own human siblings because they left him alone, but he would be locked up when guests came to call, and Hudson didn’t appreciate this. He abhors being separated from his pack and he would whine, cry and scratch and eventually he wound up being tied to the foot of the guest bed. Not a good situation for this frog. There is a rumor that he may have growled and snapped, but again, the details are hazy.

Hudson does have extensive vet records. He has a long history of ear infections, and here again his history is somewhat hazy. His list of dislikes extends to baths, nails and ear cleanings and he has needed muzzling and sedation to deal with these issues. He has some mild allergies from an undetermined source and his foster mom will be looking into this. He is somewhat portly and seems to have had some digestive issues in the past. Again, his foster mom will be looking into this issue and his dietary needs and restrictions.

Hudson has been a gentleman in his foster home. He has met his foster siblings in a calm and dignified manner. He doesn’t seem to understand their invitations to play, but hopefully as he settles in, he will participate. He is very happy to be around people and gives excellent kisses. He is uncomfortable with being picked up to being put on or off a bed, and will growl. Sudden movements also seem to elict a small growl from Hudson. Otherwise he enjoys his people and the other dogs in his house and loves to snuggle in your lap. His foster mom says he reminds of her of a “smudgie little marshmallow”. This marshmallow has some work to do to regain his sense of balance, and his foster parents will be working with him to sort through all these things.

If you would like to support Hudson in his journey to find his inner self, please click on his picture and say it’s for Hudson. He would appreciate your soothing thoughts and good vibes as well!
