Once again a Good Samaritan has made all the difference for a Frenchie in need. A short while ago, a woman visited a co-worker's home and met her dog, Jazzy. The owner worked long hours while this sweet dog was kept in a small crate, and Jazzy wasn't faring well. She was missing over 80% of her fur from constant scratching and was cramped and uncomfortable. Her friend was able to open the owner's eyes to the fact that little Jazzy would do better in another situation. Jazzy's owner thought about it, then did the right thing and called FBRN.
Jazzy is just one year old and is very, very quiet. During her first medicated bath in foster care, her thickened skin bled, but since that bath, and the others that have followed, she has stopped scratching and seems to feel better. Jazzy is enjoying the relative wide open space of an x-pen with a big pillow in the middle. She stretches out on her "big puff" and falls right to sleep. Healing is exhausting work!
Jazzy will need tender loving care and veterinary attention for her skin condition, as well as a spay surgery. Please consider sponsoring her with a Paypal pledge. She's not feeling too "Jazzy" yet, but soon! Soon! |
