Petter came to us when her military family realized she'd get more attention and help from a new home, than the one where a temporarily (while Dad is deployed overseas) single mom with 3 young kids could give her. Petter has epilepsy, controlled with meds, and is a good girl, though she has issues to overcome. Her housetraining is a bit spotty, and she really likes to get her own way. She scratches at the doors and windows to come in, and she is a little snarky with the resident foster dogs. She's not crazy about her crate, either.

But those things are just matters of training, and we will address them as best we can while she is in our care.

Petter is a busy girl, very sweet and very curious. Her foster mom says she may have some compulsivity issues. It appears that Petter is compelled to examine every corner of the house and yard each time she is released from her crate. It's possible she's just searching for overlooked treats or cats lying doggo in the grass. She'd be happy in a home with someone who can give her lots of attention and will love her even with her little ways. If you'd like to sponsor her, just click on her photo and tell us it's for Petter.
