Hospice Dog
Sylvie is one of the rare cases in rescue of a dog who has known love her whole life. Sylvie's owner loved her dearly, cared for her when she lost the use of her back legs 3 years ago and even took her to work every day. Sylvie's attitude is everything you could want in a best friend ... loving, attentive, laid-back, playful ... she's a gem! She was surrendered tearfully because her owner's battle with cancer made caring for her impossible. Sadly, not long after her arrival into FBRN's care, Sylvie herself has been diagnosed with a tumor in her skull that will shorten her life considerably. Sylvie will remain in her foster home as long as she is able to live a happy and comfortable life, and when the time comes, will have a passing party at home ... surrounded by people who love her.
Sylvie is a young and vibrant dog in spite of her condition, so we are exploring avenues that will improve the quality of her life for now. If you'd like to help sponsor Sylvie's treatment, click on her photo and be sure to send her a message of encouragement. Good girl, Sylvie! |
