In Memory of Bella

Bella had a tough life. She was adopted and surrendered twice, for biting. Once she got to FBRN's doors, we discovered this girl was simply petrified of every single thing she encountered. She was frightened of sounds, frightened of the outdoors, frightened of dogs and horses and people. Her loving FBRN foster family's application to adopt her was approved, and over the years Bella became desensitized to the things that had once frightened her witless. Her Frenchie brother,Thor, was responsible for much of her recovery, as Bella early on attached herself to him as her protector and guide. By the end of her life, Bella was able to confidently accompany her family to the barn at feeding time. She loved to stand at the back fence and bark the family's news to the countryside's dog network, and in the house she loved to snooze with Thor and snuggle with her family. In June, Bella began to lose weight. She fought very hard to remain with her beloved family. She is deeply missed.
