In Memory of Clyde

After three months in foster care Clyde went to his forever home. Unfortunately, his life was cut short. Clyde had a problem with refluxing his food, especially large meals. He’d had two previous bouts with pneumonia with his original owners from aspirating his reflux and was on strict diet of only small meals of canned dog food. Somehow, while visiting at his new owner’s parents’ home he managed to unearth and ingest a quantity of dry dog food sufficient to cause him to aspirate. Clyde died suddenly.

Clyde had recently celebrated his 4th birthday with a traditional pumpkin custard treat. He was a lovely boy who showed affection by gently nipping at his people’s earlobes. While in foster care, Clyde enjoyed playing with “Tex”, a Pitbull more than twice his size and Rebel and Mickey, two resident seniors who tolerated the younger Frenchie’s antics and didn’t mind sharing a warm place to sleep.

Clyde’s accidental passing was a painful tragedy and FBRN extends deepest condolences to his original owners, his new owner, and to his foster family. His life was too brief to contain all the love he inspired.
