In Memory of Hootie
- October 2006

Oh Hootie, my Hootie with your pearly white smile;
I loved you best, I loved you most -- if even for awhile.
With Biz, Brighton and The Mills,
I watched you wander the backyard hills.
I loved you from the beginning we met, I loved you from the start;
But even the best of doctors couldn't fix your damaged heart.
Prostrate with grief, I cried and cried and cried,
The early morning I awoke and found that you had died.
I had you as a foster, I had you as my own;
Now you've crossed the Rainbow Bridge -- I'm glad you're not alone.
Sadly missed by Nancy Shoop and Unca Bill
