In Memory of Dodge

We will always regret not having gotten Dodger just a few weeks or months earlier. By the time he was rescued, he was in such dreadful condition, suffering from such a complicated constellation of symptoms and problems, that there was no way to even begin to help him, though we tried and then tried some more. Though he was sometimes demented with blindness and pain, he nonetheless brought his foster mom happiness and was loved and loved her in return. We will not forget this boy, nor his struggle to live, nor our grief at our inability to save him. Rest well, Dodger. You have earned some peace.
