In Memory of Doodlebug

Doodlebug came to us from a shelter, where she'd been dumped to be euthanized when a mammary growth recurred. Several days after coming into our care, Doodlebug developed congestive heart failure. Her lungs filled with fluid and x-rays indicated that she was in heart failure. She was having great difficulty breathing, and after consultation with her vet, her foster mom made the decision to allow Doodlebug to cross the Bridge. Doodlebug went home feeling her mom's strong arms around her and hearing words of love in her ears. We all wish we could have given you more time, Doodlebug, but we are so glad your last days and moments were spent with someone who truly cared for you. Sleep well.
