In Memory of Etienne

"My name is Etienne, but everyone calls me Eti"  …and so begins the introduction to Eti's blog Manhattan Chien, a testament to the remarkable life that brought so much joy and prompted all those who encountered the handsome Etienne, whether in person or online, to fall head over heels in love. His life was cut far too short by a brain lesion, but his beauty, comic timing and giant zest for life will be remembered and celebrated; most especially by those lucky enough to have witnessed his antics, been charmed by his impishness, and blessed by his unabashed affection. He was his caregiver Chris' muse and loyal companion.  Together they were incredible ambassadors of the breed, who shared their wealth of knowledge, stories, pictures and videos with a large online community of French Bulldog enthusiasts to the benefit of Frenchies all over the world.  The bond between Chris and Eti stands out as an inspirational image of the privilege, responsibility and heartbreaking devotion that defines living with a French Bulldog.  May we all live up to their example. 

Godspeed Eti.  You will be missed but not forgotten.
