In Memory of Moose
Dear Moose,
You became my dog and a special part of my life when you were a mere 7 months old. You came to me from sunny California into, well, cold and snowy Utah...sorry about that, buddy! You and I were the best of friends. We had so many great times together. You would go with me to run errands, take walks with me, sleep in my bed, play fetch; you even went on a few cabin trips to Idaho. We also went through some hard times. When you lost your companion, Wednesday, it was just you and I from that point forward. That is until Andrew came into our lives. He didn't quite know about you at first. He had never seen a Frenchie and needless to say he found you to be quite strange looking. And that death yodel that came out of your little body was enough to scare any man off! Thankfully, you didn't scare him off, I believe you brought him closer to me and I thank you for that. You even helped him propose to me by so patiently waiting for me to take that red bow off of your neck with my engagement ring attached to it. I was oblivoius to it since Andrew so often attached things to you...stuffed animals, clothes, PEDOMETERS (he didn't think you moved during the day!) Thank you for making our engagement that much more memorable. Andrew even loved you enough to make you an internet sensation by filming the trick that I'd seen you perform for years.
Moose, thank you for bringing such joy into our lives. You taught us so much, like how the little things don't matter. You taught us forgiveness, compassion, affection, reliance, trust, and most certainly, love. We miss you every day but we are so grateful that you come visit us in our dreams. Thank you for that. You were our "Super Moose" and you will be with us ALWAYS!
Until we meet again,
Jessi and Andrew (mom and dad)
