Woohoo! Boone is ready to find his forever family. This sweet boy was surrendered to FBRN earlier in the year due to a spinal injury. He recovered with his foster family and is ready to move on to his next adventure. Boone is your typical puppy who loves to play and zoom around the house! Like many pandemic pups, he prefers to be with his humans at all times.
Boone loves to play with humans and dogs alike. He can be very hyper when playing and can sometimes overdo it. With a little more training, this behavior could be redirected. Speaking of training, Boone is smart! He is motivated to learn and picks up on tricks very quickly. Boone is crate and house trained. One of his favorite past times is chewing on his Nylabones and sharing snacks with the resident cockatoo!
Boone has several health considerations that his forever family should consider. He has several different food allergies and must avoid those food items, like chicken! He also has a history of ear infections that will need to be monitored. Like many Frenchies, Boone has brachycephalic airway syndrome and will need to wear a harness, never a collar or choke chain. He also has IVDD and will need a family who can provide proper preventive care. He will need to be carried up and down stairs and should never jump on/off furniture.
Boone’s perfect forever family is one who can provide this sweet boy the love and attention he deserves. He would prefer a home where someone is home more often than not, though he is doing much better at staying home alone. Boone goes to work with his foster dad every day and would do fine going to an office. He loves the car and is happy to be included in his foster dad’s day! Due to his IVDD restrictions, a home with limited stairs would be best for Boone as he will need to be carried up/down stairs. Boone enjoys spending time with the resident Frenchie and is reported to get along with all the dogs he’s met. He also gets along with cats and the resident bird.
Foster dad has this to say about sweet Boone, “Boone has really bloomed and settled in really well. This gassy snoozing couch potato loves to find a good sunny spot and splay out like a little Cornish hen in his favorite sun spot and nap but don’t be fooled, when it’s time to play he will zip and zoom until he’s almost blue. He responds well with clicks and snaps for training and ABSOLUTELY loves to clean the floors, especially in the kitchen.”
If you think your family is the perfect pit for Boone, please submit your application and tell us why! Boone cannot wait to meet his forever family, but he must be picked up in person. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Boone has brachycephalic airway syndrome. He had nares and palate resection and saccules removed with neuter on 04.03.2021. He must wear a harness when going for walks, never a collar or choke chain.
Boone has IVDD, so he must always be carried up and down stairs and must not be allowed to jump on or off the furniture.
Boone has several food allergies and must avoid positive foods on his allergy report. He has a history of ear infections that must be monitored for recurrence.
