Avi has a Thanksgiving story to share! Miss Avi recently joined the FBRN family after an emotional surrender. Her previous owner, heartbroken but unable to provide the care she needed, entrusted Avi to us due to her severe back issues. Avi underwent emergency back surgery—a procedure that almost cost her life. She faced complications with the anesthesia, leading to serious respiratory problems that made her recovery touch-and-go. But Avi, as sweet as she is, is also a little fighter. She defied the odds, pulling through with incredible resilience and determination.

Now, Avi is on the road to recovery at her foster home, where she’s adjusting to crate rest and short potty breaks. Despite all she’s been through, she’s been the most wonderful patient. Avi melts hearts by rolling onto her side for belly rubs and showering her foster family with nose kisses. It’s as if she knows how close she came to losing it all and is determined to savor every moment.
