About Harvest
Look what’s sprouted up in the FBRN garden—it’s Harvest! This scrumptious pied girl has left her breeding days behind and has a new destination in mind—a forever home of her very own.
4.5 year-old Harvest (or Harvie, as she’s known by her foster family) has taken a someone circuitous route to rescue. We’re not sure where she started out, but wherever it was, she definitely had a litter or two along the way. Harvest’s next owner wanted to keep her but found that Harvest did not get along with the dogs and cats already in the house. So Harvie went to live with a temporary guardian, until her surrender to FBRN.
While living with the guardian, Harvest suffered an injury to one of her spinal discs. Fortunately, her then-owner got her right into surgery, and it looks like she’s recovered nicely. Of course, like all dogs with spinal issues, her back will need to be treated with extra loving care. Harvie also seems to have some typical Frenchie allergies, which will be addressed at her upcoming vet visit. In the meantime, foster mom has enrolled her in Paw Lickers Anonymous and is keeping a watchful eye on those itchies. Potty Training Boot Camp is also on the menu since Harvest hasn’t yet learned the finer points of doing her business outside. Don’t worry, baby girl, you’ll get there!
Harvest might not be too keen on other dogs, but boy howdy does she love her people. Frenchies tend to be pretty cuddly dogs, but Harvie takes it to a whole new level! This affectionate girl can’t get enough of her foster family, and contorts her body into all kinds of crazy positions to maximize the amount of available petting space. Foster mom tells us, “She does this pounce jump thing where she bounces her front paws off the floor to show her excitement. Then she melts into butter for a snuggle sesh and immediately paw-slaps you if you start to slow down or slack on the pets.” Well, color us smitten!
If you find Harvest as irresistible as we do, why not become her sponsor? Remember, since FBRN is an all-volunteer organization, you can rest assured that 100% of your contribution goes directly to the care of our dogs. And Harvie will be sure to send you a sweet Frenchie kiss of thanks!
