Busy little Koda is ready to find the perfect forever home! Koda is looking for a home where he can be showered with love and attention, preferably as an only pet. If you are looking for a Frenchie who loves to play and can be the apple of your eye, keep reading, Koda could be the one for you!

Koda loves to spend his days playing fetch in the yard or wrassling with his toys in the house. He enjoys playing tug of war and when he’s done playing, he usually gets the zoomies and runs through the yard and house to get the rest of his energy out before he jumps up on the couch. Once he makes his way to the couch he rolls around on his back and makes the most silly snarfeling sounds. He adores people and loves all kinds of belly rubs and attention. When he wants to cuddle he will throw his whole body onto his favorite person’s lap so they are unable to avoid his snuggles and kisses. Koda’s favorite toys are hard rubber toys that can stand up to his chewing.

Koda is a very smart boy who knows several commands such as “sit,” “down,” “come,” “stay,” “bed,” and “kennel.” His new owners will need to continue his training with “drop it” and “leave it.” An in home session with an obedience trainer on resource guarding is recommended for his new family.

The perfect home for Koda will be a home with no small children and preferably no other dogs. Koda does ok with calm dogs, but he will not share his toys or treats with other pets. Koda will go after other pets that try to take his toys. An experienced person is required if there are other dogs in the home and the slow introduction policy must be followed.

If there are no other pets in the home, Koda would do fine with first time Frenchie owners. His forever family should be committed to continuing his training. Koda could live in a home or an apartment and he doesn’t need a yard. He loves to go for short walks and can get his exercise with zoomies in the house. Koda’s new family can work outside of the home as he is pretty easy going and does not need someone with him all day long. Koda would be an excellent dog to bring to the office since he loves people. As long as he has a few toys and a comfy bed he can entertain himself all day long.

Koda is a resource guarder. His foster family has been working on training him to “drop” and he will trade a toy for a toy. When play time is over his foster family tells him “all done” and they are able to pick up his toys and put them away. When he is eating he likes to be left alone, but once he is finished eating his bowl can be picked up and put away.

Koda’s foster family has this to share about him, “Koda has so much personality, and he always keeps me laughing. One look at him after a long hard day and seeing his adorable smile and wink just makes all the stress melt away. He makes the funniest sounds when he’s playing and rolling all around doing somersaults on the couch. He hasn’t been able to live his best life yet and that is all I want for him.”

If you would like to adopt Koda, be prepared to travel. This little cutie pie is being fostered in NE Texas and will not be shipped, but he is small enough to fly in cabin on a plane and he loves to go on car rides. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
