Please welcome Koda, our newest friend, to the FBRN family. Koda arrived at FBRN from a family who couldn’t manage his care and expenses due to their changed circumstances.
Koda is six-and-a-half-years old and has been very well trained on the basic commands. He also loves his crate, a very helpful behavior. Since his foster mom was given to believe Koda has some resource guarding issues with toys and items around other dogs, she is working with him on the “leave it” command as a good foundation. Apparently, he lost his eye in an argument with a larger dog – we know he isn’t shy. Koda has been diagnosed with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) so he takes daily medicine and is on prescription food to help. Koda loves to play fetch. His favorite toys are small squeaky dinosaurs that he tosses around the room. He’s really a very cute, funny guy.
