Here’s a big welcome to this very round, two-year-old peach, Peaches! Peaches was surrendered to FBRN due to her medical condition (IVDD) and inability to walk. Because of the wonderful vet who performed emergency surgery, Peaches can now stand and is expected to walk again.
So far, Peaches has settled into her foster home quite nicely and has been nothing but gentle and sweet. With all her medications following surgery, and the limited activity required as she recovers, we’re sure to have much more to report on Peaches’ personality when she make her debut on the available page.
In the meantime, her foster family will be monitoring her recovery very closely along with their veterinarian. Of course, they will be checking for any other health issues that may arise. Peaches weighs-in at a whopping 35 pounds! Foster mom says a new diet and some vet-approved exercise should help her to shed a few pounds and be healthier and shapelier for summer bikini season!
