Velvet, our newest foster rabbit, err Frenchie, arrived in FBRN care from an animal shelter in California. At four-years-old, Velvet was surrendered to the shelter due to a prolapsed rectum. She seems to be a bit underweight, but after healing and spending some time in a loving foster home, she will be on her way to finding her forever home in no time!

This adorable sweetie might already be a stage-5 clinger. Just kidding! It’s a bit too early to make such an assumption, however, it is clear that Velvet loves being with her humans! Introductions to the resident Frenchies have been slow, just the way we like them, but Velvet is appropriately curious and so far seems to be dog friendly. As she settles in and gains some weight, we’ll have much more to report about this darling girl.
