What does FBRN’s new foster Frenchie have in common with Disney, Matthau, Cronkite and Whitman? You guessed it! His name is Walter and he may not be a famous animator, actor, news anchor or poet, but the stars were definitely aligned for this lucky pup. As the song goes, “it’s a small world after all.” You see, Walter was brought to a vet as a euthanasia request but one of the vet techs knew an FBRN volunteer and contacted her straight away. The rest is history (and also a brand-new beginning) as Walter, a former breeding stud, is now learning to live his best life in foster care. “And that’s the way it is.”

At seven years old, this sweet and handsome fawn senior will have a full health work up and we will have more to share soon. Unlike his famous namesakes, our Walter doesn’t have a cent to his name.
