Settling into a new foster home can be a little difficult, but where there’s a Willa, there’s a way-a! Once you’ve finished rolling your eyes at our dad jokes, please give a warm welcome to FBRN’s newest little nugget, Willa! She may not be able to hear you, but she’ll waggle her little tail nubbin’ all the same.
Seven-year-old Willa came to FBRN after her original family realized they did not have the time or resources to take proper care of a special needs dog. It’s not yet clear why, but at some point over the last year or so, Willa lost her hearing. Fortunately, it hasn’t dimmed her sweet personality one bit! She is a doll baby of the highest caliber and loves getting scritches and snuggles from her foster mom.
There are a few hurdles for Willa to clear before she’ll be ready for adoption. The first item of business is to get her a veterinary checkup, to make sure that her insides are looking as good as her beautiful brindle coat. Foster mom will also be working on Willa’s resource guarding, and teaching her some sign language as well.
If, like us, you’ve found yourself entirely smitten with darling Willa, why not become her sponsor? Every dollar, dime and penny donated goes directly to the care of our dogs, so you can rest assured that your donation makes a real difference in the lives of these wayward Frenchies. Willa and all of us at FBRN thank you for your support!
