There is a new sassy one-year-old Frenchie in the house, and her name is Winona. She is equal parts charm and confidence, with a talent for stealing your seat and gently nibbling your fingers when she feels playful.

Winona came to FBRN when her family’s personal circumstances changed and they were no longer able to afford her care. She still carries some puppy energy and has been learning important social cues, including that when the older dogs are done playing, the party is officially over. She enjoys short walks, cozy snuggles, and enthusiastically rolling over for belly rubs.

Winona has a small limp from a prior injury and has some knee, hip, and spine concerns that are currently well managed with oral medication. When she first arrived in foster care, she needed help learning that outside is the proper place for bathroom breaks. She has since made great progress and is now regularly spotted handling her business outdoors like a pro.
