Are you looking for a dashing diva that is the perfect trifecta of Frenchie love? Look no further than Vivian who was tearfully surrendered to FBRN when her previous owner couldn’t provide all of the extensive specialized care that Vivian needed. The trifecta of Frenchie love includes loving children, cats, and dogs! Vivian loves everything and everybody. This Frenchie girl is great with kids – she has helped her foster mom to baby sit for a newborn and she loves to chase the neighbor child around and play.

Vivian likes cats. She’s made plenty of dog and puppy friends, and has even gotten along with her grumpier foster sibling. She does well around strange dogs in public, but can sometimes show a little attitude. It wears off quickly and she will be best friends with the other dog in no time. Vivian was an only child in her former home and she isn’t the best at sharing her toys, but will do so begrudgingly. A girl can never have too many friends after all. Some of Vivian’s favorite things are ping pong balls and squeaky toys, but this girl also likes to chill and doesn’t mind watching TV while snuggling with her people.

As mentioned in the below section, Vivian must be kept on all her allergy regimens. A girl never wants her skin to be itchy and flakey! Vivian has IVDD and will need continued care and monitoring. She should not be allowed to leap on or off furniture. Unfortunately, there will be no honing of her parkour skills. This includes stairs.

So, Vivian loves to play and be wild. She loves to practice her parkour and keep up with the kids. Did we mention she likes to play? Unfortunately, these fun things are not good for her back, and Vivian needs a firm human that will help her to understand that as much as we love jumping, and honing other wild skills, it simply can’t be done. We must prevent further injury to her spine. If Vivian has a flare-up of IVDD she will need to retire to her chamber (crate). She is crate trained, but will let you know (loudly) that being stuck in a boring crate displeases her.

Vivian is house trained and has not had any accidents while in foster care. Vivian needs a calm home where someone is home a good portion of the day (to keep an eye on her and quell any parkour session). Vivian also requires frequent medications and a special diet to keep her itchies at bay. Ideally older or very calm kids/pets would make great companions for Vivian. Vivian will need a family that understands the seriousness of her allergies and IVDD. Without proper care and therapies, Vivian’s conditions can get bad really quick.

A house with a fenced in yard would be the ideal place for Vivian. The grass is better than concrete for her walks and PT. Vivian is a chatty lady and will bark like crazy if she is confined, so apartment life may not be ideal. Vivian would be a great office dog! She could easily learn to go to work with her human and would stay close to them. This girl is pretty smart, sweet, and wonderful.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter’s home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
