Well hello everyone! Please pull up a chair and let us tell you about Barbie. No, not the toy doll. We’re talking about FBRN’s latest cream-puff, cutie-pie, world-class snuggler, and all-around doll of a Frenchie!

Our Barbie found herself in foster care when her previous family’s circumstances changed. Barbie seems to have been bred in the past and she has a history of allergies; now those days are behind her, and she’s ready to find her forever home where she will be pampered and adored for the rest of her days.

If you’re looking for a Velcro Frenchie, your own personal shadow, to follow you everywhere, then look no further than Barbie! This girl loves to snuggle and may even crawl on top of you to get the most perfect spot. She’ll certainly accompany you to the bathroom, make sure you don’t need any help in the shower, and supervise all kitchen activities.

Barbie enjoys all of the attention, lots of loves, plenty of belly rubs, and being the queen of the crowd. She can easily fit into any group, as long as she is the star! I mean, who doesn’t enjoy being the center of attention? Barbie enjoys her queen status, but she also enjoys having a pal. She gets along with dogs similar in size or smaller, but she tends to be a bit defensive around larger dogs. Barbie can also be a bit bossy when others try to get near her food, so she must be monitored when food or toys are present. Her forever family should commit to slow introductions to their resident dog as well as separate feeding areas so that everyone is set-up for success.

When it comes to people, Barbie gets along with everyone! Although, she can be a bit pushy for affection. She enjoys daily walks, loves snuggle sessions, following her person around the house, and chewing on an occasional bone or toy. Bonus points for letting her cuddle and chew on a toy at the same time!

Barbie is crate trained and potty trained, but not so fond of going potty on leash. She enjoys a good sunbathing session, so we think a fenced-in yard would be ideal in her forever home. However, she has been known to climb a chain link fence! She can also jump on the kitchen table via chairs that are left out. You’ve been warned.

More important than the type of home or yard, Barbie needs a forever family committed to her care. Barbie has serious allergies, and because she went so long without proper care, her ears developed polyps. While in foster care, those polyps have been removed. Thankfully, Barbie can still hear pretty well. But her forever home must be committed to keeping up with her routine to keep her in tip-top shape.

An ideal home is one with lots of love to give and someone who is home often to lavish attention on Barbie (and keep those ears clean). Another small dog who is more submissive would be an ideal pal, especially while the humans are away. While Barbie has never been to an office, she’s willing to give it a try if it means she gets to be with her person!

Here are a few words from her loving foster family, “Barbie has been pure joy and entertainment since the day she arrived! She was instantly best friends with our resident pup and constantly makes us laugh with her goofy personality! The two of them run around the house and play almost constantly. She is perfectly crate trained and will sometimes put herself to bed at night if she’s ready. She is just amazing and ready to bring the same love and joy to her forever family.”
