Story
If you’re looking for an energetic, slightly mischievous champion snuggler, Bali could be your pup! She plays hard then naps even harder. She has never met a stranger, loving all humans, and will be attached to your hip like a used dryer sheet. She gets along with all her canine foster siblings and would love a forever home with a canine playmate and companion. While she has no experience with kids, foster mom reports that Bali is so easy going and wouldn’t likely have any issues with dog-savvy children of any age.
Bali doesn’t quite know what to do with toys just yet. She may take a quick nibble of a bone or flip a stuffie over once or twice, but she is much more enthusiastic about spending time with her humans and you guessed it, snuggling. Bali is her name and snuggling is her game! Fair warning: if she knows you’re around but can’t see you, she will sound the alarm and show off her impressive vocal abilities. Thus, perhaps a detached house versus connected walls with neighbors might be the best living arrangement for Bali and her new family.
While Bali is an extremely cute and desirable puppy, her new family must be prepared to monitor her during bowel movements for recurrence of a prolapsed rectum and get immediate treatment if it occurs. She needs to remain on Farmina Pumpkin dog food to maintain a healthy bowel regimen and prevent straining. Potty training is also a work in progress so her adopter should be patient and committed to working with her on this. She is crate trained but needs to be taken out frequently as she doesn’t mind soiling the crate. Along with frequent potty breaks, the more the better, positive praise and encouragement to potty outside is important. She’s a typical puppy with a short attention span so if she gets distracted and doesn’t complete her business outside, she has no reservations about finishing inside.
Bali would love for her person to be home most of the time, especially during her formative puppy years. She has even proven to be a pretty good office mate, sleeping on her foster mom’s lap while she works at her desk. So, applicants who work from home or have the luxury of working in a pet-friendly work environment might be prioritized, at least in Bali’s eyes.
Foster mom is truly enamored and says, “Bali is truly one of the sweetest pups to come through my house as a foster. She’s all puppy but is affectionate to everyone, even strangers and loves to be with people. She gets along wonderful with my pack and takes social cues from the older dogs very well. She will be a wonderful addition to any family and she will repay her human with love in abundance.”
If you have the time and dedication to give to sweet Bali, send in an application and let us know how you will help her to thrive and succeed into young dog-hood and beyond. She is still a little tyke so flying in-cabin is a possibility, but she wouldn’t mind a car trip either. Just plan your trip to Delaware if chosen because FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
