“Ryanne is a funny little thing who loves people. She loves to be with her people, in a lap if possible. She is pretty quiet and very content to be loved on. She loves getting her harness on and going out walking or riding in the car. She loves going to the vet and seeing everyone. She loves the attention. She takes her daily eye drops and ear cleanings easily. Because of her allergies she does bathing quite well also. She loves being outside listening to the birds and neighbors’ chickens and enjoying the sunshine. She is not afraid to potty in the rain (unlike most princesses)!”

Story
Our petite pretty pied princess is finally beginning her reign on the available page and boy has she earned the throne! Ryanne was surrendered to FBRN after her previous owners could not afford an emergency C-section. Her two puppies unfortunately didn’t make it, but Ryanne has overcome so much and is ready to find her happily ever after. We know there is an adopter out there who holds the proverbial glass slipper which will match her paw perfectly. Will it be you?
Five-year-old Ryanne is tiny pup at 18 pounds, but her personality is anything but small! Despite her initial discomfort from severe, untreated allergies, she marched right into her foster home and immediately let everyone know who was boss (it’s her, she’s the boss). And she’s not the type of boss who promotes teamwork. She’d rather be a lone wolf, a one-woman show, a rogue elephant. Okay, maybe that’s a bit extreme because she absolutely loves her people, but she does not like to share anything. Ryanne’s vision board for her ideal home is plastered with pictures of adults with nothing but time for and devotion to her. Because she has a history of resource guarding toys, food and people, she must never be around young children and should not live with another dog. If you have older, dog savvy children,10-12 and older, let us know in your application how you intend to keep everyone, including Ryanne, safe.
Because Ryanne’s allergies were left untreated for so long, she does have cauliflower ear where her ear flaps and canals are chronically swollen. She thinks her droopy ear gives her character and she’s not wrong! She also does not produce tears so she requires twice daily Cyclosporine eye drops to lubricate and protect her eyes. She tolerates these plus her weekly ear cleanings and medicated baths very well. Her adopter must be committed to continuing her complete allergy regimen to manage her allergies and keep her comfortable.
Ryanne is definitely the people’s princess. She absolutely loves going on walks to greet her kingdom. Because she has had airway surgery, she must always wear her royal harness on walks and never have anything around her neck that would tighten or apply pressure. Her favorite throne is a person’s lap where she can easily give kisses and receive unending pets. She could probably acclimate to an office environment with the caveat she will need frequent breaks because potty training is a work in progress. Just remind your boss getting up from your desk every 1-2 hours actually improves productivity and morale. She would do best with someone who is home majority of the time.
Ryanne has been in foster for about 6 months and her foster mom says, “Ryanne is a funny little thing who loves people.
If you feel you have the perfect glass slipper for Ryanne, plan your trip to Pennsylvania if chosen. This pretty princess loves car rides so distance is not an issue. She thanks everyone who has read this far and not been deterred by her needs. She is definitely worth it!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
