About Edison
What do Thomas Edison and FBRN’s newest foster puppy, Edison, have in common? They are both famous inventors! Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb and our Edison invented “puppy-dog eyes.” Okay, maybe he didn’t “invent” them, but he is a master. Having been surrendered for two broken elbows (humeral epicondylar fractures*) after an accident in his previous home, Edison is now receiving the best care possible. (*Puppy bones are quite soft and elbow fractures aren’t as uncommon as one might think.)
At just five months old and already 22 pounds, this big baby boy has undergone two extensive surgeries and has a long road of recovery ahead. But if you know anything about French bulldogs, they are resilient. His dedicated foster family describes him as a sweet and snuggly shadow, content just to be where they are. Edison may not understand the need for crate rest, but at least he has his best friend, a toy “snuggle puppy” to always keep him company. And he’s not wasting any time worrying about it as he practices for his debut album, “Howling Through the Night.”
Despite his famous moniker, our Edison arrived with an empty wallet, actually, no wallet at all. If you would like to support our famous inventor and contribute to his medical care, click on the “donate” button next to his picture and don’t forget to leave some encouraging and healing thoughts. He’ll be giving high fives of appreciation in no time.

For sweet little Edison
This is for brave boy Edison, if he’s still being fostered here in DE. I teach in New Castle County and this gift comes with lots of love from my 7th and 8th graders, my Frenchiegirl Piper and me.
