Story
Move over Vin Diesel, here comes Vin the Fawn Frenchie! His foster mom did the most selfless thing and picked this 4-year-old up from the vet without a rescue program even in place. She just knew that wasn’t where his journey was supposed to end. Vin is a typical Frenchie that loves attention, continuous pets/belly rubs, and will get his mouth on any chew toy.
Vin is the definition of resilience and strength. When he first arrived at FBRN, he was not able to stand due to hind end paralysis. With immense love and support from his foster family and doctors, he has already shown great progress just from his time with FBRN. Vin has regained sensation in his hind legs, now allowing him to stand!! His foster mom has also gotten him into a comfortable routine to handle his incontinence. His rehab has included cold laser therapy and hydrotherapy. While treatment may need to be ongoing, Vin wouldn’t mind, as he loves attending his sessions and steals the hearts of everyone he meets with his expressive eyes and sweet personality.
Due to his prior paralysis, Vin is crate trained and has not spent much time with his foster siblings. However, he is very curious about them and gets excited to say ‘hello!’ through the gate. Vin would ideally love a forever family that is home often as he needs to be expressed 3-4x daily to continue on his routine. He also loves snuggling with his humans and getting all the attention he can muster!
Did we mention Vin has gotten his own pair of sweet wheels? While he is still learning how to use them, his foster mom knows he will be able to live an active lifestyle and go anywhere in the future. She also had this to say about what she hopes for Vin’s future, “We would love to see Vin in a home with a lot of dedication, patience, and mountains of love, as being loved on is his favorite… Vin has so much love to give and will truly be the heart of the home. He deserves all the love in the world.”
If you are someone who has a history with Frenchies, or paralysis experience, Vin would love to get the chance to meet you! He will have you wrapped around his paw with his lovable energy and zest for life.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
